Limited Edition Leica M7

It will cost you £8,550. Thats SGD 19,585!!!! I could buy a whole new Nikon D700 and a couple of whip ass lens with that kind of money. Its amazing Leica can create quite a huge price for a compact camera. Well there are those serious camera junkie who are willing to come out with that kind of money. Anyway this is a brand new limited edition Leica M7 in orange and etoupe. But seriously, are you willing to get your hand on this one. I would have put it in a safety box rather than toying it. It has the same specification as the standard M7. Click here to download the specs. For more information, go to Leica .

D700 vs D300. An ultimate choice to upgrade after D50

With new Canon EOS50D and the Ultimate 5D mark II in the market, a lot of people like to compare them with Nikon D300 and D700 respectively. Since I am a Nikon user, I do my best noy\t to switch system since its gonna cost me a bomb. Anyway I am looking forward to change a new camera though. My Nikon D50 is dying soon. Its time for me to retire it cos since 2005, I have taken more than 40,000 clicks. Although its not much compare to a professional usage, I got to say my camera starts to make that strange noise ever time I took a shot. Now the plan is December 2009. I got a choice of D300 or D700 (due to my range of lens). I am using those old lens and some of it cant be use with the lower range probably including the D90 and D5000. Anyway my budget is about 3k. So..... going thru the specs review in nikon.com.sg I got to say D700 is very tempting. But the only thing is that it uses FX format (full-frame). I can't afford its compatible lenses. Next I look at the D300 which are more popular ones. Like I say, I look at the specs and sees no diff among the two. Accept for the sensors. You can look at the specs here http://nikon.com.sg/compareproductitems.php?p=1257-63bae4a413,1187-59711d5d33

Anyway, D300 is much more cheaper and an ideal way to upgrade from my D50. Besides after that I can tell the missus to upgrade some more.hehehe

Sigma APO 200-500mm F2.8/400-1000mm EX DG lens

Please do tell me, has anyone really seen someone carrying this 'HULK' or actually own one? Really.... please tell me. Although I have read the specs last year and the lens has been release since Jan 2008, till now I am still amazed with it. It come with an extension for 400-1000mm and the speed is tremendous at F2.8. This is not something you want to get stop by the cop or homeland security. With a whopping USD38,000, I wouldn't be letting anyone touch it not even cop. That might be a ticket for you the police station. If you tell the cops that this is a lens, he might be laughing at for a full minutes and then see the true picture. Amazing...! Anyway, It is good to see that Sigma launch this lens but got to say, why the color?
If you really need to know more about this 'HULK' well I have gathered some info on the web with regards to this lens. Most of the porting is a bit old but I bet not many of us knew this lens.

Nikon D5000

images extract from nikon.com.sg

Yes! Its out. The new Nikon D5000 with the latest live view which allows you to take at 450 deg angle. It come with D movie at 12 megapixel. I first saw it the newspaper. Its loud. Its bold. Just wonderful from Nikon to come it with this camera especially during this economic downturn. Price wise is abot SGD1299. Which is considerably cheap. I bought my D50 at SGD1450 and the features to compare between D5000, is a milestone...... Just can't wait to hear the reviews. Still I am looking forward to the next after D300.
